Probation Officer Jobs

We regularly look for qualified and/or experienced probation officers to work within various public sector clients. Day to day probation officers will be required to supervise offenders either on Community Orders and then recording records on the probation systems. The probation officer will also be required to carry out court duty at the local magistrates’ court and deal with enquiries from offenders, the offenders family, prisons, social services or other relevant agencies.

Typical work activity is: providing pre-sentence court and bail information reports, assessing offenders risk and threat to the public, overseeing unpaid community work programmes for offenders, dealing with referrals for issues around substance misuse, delivering programmes to help change offenders behaviour, and provide support to crime victims and their families.

Technical systems often used within probation work are Delius and Oasys.
